Our mission is to enhance the region’s economy and quality of life. We’ve created prosperity, but it hasn't been shared by everyone. Shared prosperity is about using our talents and resources – our contracts, expertise, airports, marine terminals and industrial development tools – to create jobs and build wealth for communities that were previously excluded from sharing in the prosperity of our region. A division/department Shared Prosperity plan (formerly known as an equity plan) is an ambitious set of actions that aim to bring about institutional change, both inside the Port and in the greater community around three outcomes: Increasing Small Business Participation Creating an Equitable, Inclusive & Welcoming Place to Work Engaging Community
Employee Resource Groups are voluntary, employee-driven groups that are organized around shared characteristics, interest or dimension (protected class). Our Groups are open to all Port employees and we welcome allies as well as employees looking to learn more about one of the groups listed below. We diligently abide by all Port values and policies. Additional Group
Employees for Education (E4E) - An employee-led group that holds fundraisers throughout the year toward scholarships for Port employees’ dependents who are graduating from high school and are headed to a vocational school, college or university – public or private.
